Atomic Racers 1:64 Scale Micro RC

Well I went down to radioshack to check out there after Christmas clearance stuff to see what kinda RC's they had left when I can across a little 1:64 scale car in a ball and thought hey for $8.00 how bad could it be .

To be honest I am not really sure how I feel about this little car it's kinda fun to play with and it steers and drives like you would expect . My main concerns are the ridgid antenna and its short range. I really feel they should have used a flexible antenna or one mounted internally in the controller / charging station  it just strikes me as to easy to break . Where the antenna mounts to the circuit board is pretty flimsy and unsupported and any ruff contact with the antenna probable would break it loose from the board . I also think the 4 foot range of the car is pretty weak if you where to drive it on a table it would be alright but on the floor 4 foot doesn't really cut it unless you plan to follow the car around . For a little play thing for a young kid I don't think it would be to bad mostly because they will chase it round and range shouldn't be a issue but if you buy this for a young kid be prepared to be incharge of charge duty the charging stand is a mild challenge for a adult but a child will have issues with placing the car in the charging stand and removing it. You also should make sure you have good batteries full recharged rechargeables are not to bad but they need to recharged often for best performance use alkaline's when the car run time gets low save them for your TV remote controls .

broke it 1.2

looks like I broke the ZD Racing ZMT-10 again at least this is a simple fix that should be expected eventually with just about any RTR car. The stock servo broke.

Well below are acouple of videos of some of my rc's playing in the snow and since I know some one will ask some where some time there is also a video of me expressing my opinions on water proofing for playing in snow .
